I am sick again. Not as sick as before, but this time just a general sense of tiredness and sniffly-coughing badness. Oh well, it is what it is.

This week has been interesting. I had my first real week as waterfront director. Real in the sense of me not being oober sick. I was able to enjoy things.

Highlights:

1) I learned how to drive a boat with an tube behind it. I destroyed many campers….well, mostly just drove fast and then pulled them through a circle of wavy doom.

2) Water olympics happened. No one drowned. hurrah!

3) I am tanner than before.

4) I dressed up as 2 things this week. A: Rodeo clown. See the photos on facebook. B: Big foot. I got really sweaty as both.

5) My lifeguards made a a rescue of a potential spinal victim while I was at the DMV getting a new license…I lost my old one. Good play to the lifeguards. Boo for the DMV.

6) I spent quite a bit of camp’s money today buying new backboards for spinal injuries. It made me nervous to spend so much money.

In case you were wondering the DMV is not a fun place. I wonder how people get caught in the trap that is working there. Who wakes up and says to themselves: “I want to work in a depressing gray room with angry people who have been waiting for their number for a billion years.”? I don’t. My office is a huge lake that I get to play in. Chauncey Handy, you are one smart man for taking this job.
