Finals week and all is okay.
March 11, 2008
It’s officially finals week. I decided to reschedule one of my finals for Wednesday so that I can be officially done with finals forever (this quarter) on Wednesday afternoon. This translates into me having to study all day tomorrow for 2 tests. I’ve got it down though. I memorized everything I need to about Karl Marx for the soc. test and I will learn about the other 2 classical thinkers tomorrow. hurrah!
Sometimes people irritate me in the morning. I’m pretty touchy in the morning. My friend Keaton told me that I was “an angry bear” in the morning. It’s true. I hate waking up unless I’m doing it at my own pace. Anyhow, I woke up this morning and went to breakfast. I saw some friends there studying for a final. They were bitchy. Seriously, I’m not a good morning person and when people can’t take jokes because they’re frantically studying for finals I get somewhat irritated. Especially when the excuse “I’m not in a good mood, so watch out.” is used. That is BS. Essentially what that person is saying is “I’m in a bad mood, so I have the right to treat you like you aren’t a human being worthy of respect or kindness if you say something I don’t think is funny.” I’m sorry, but none of us have the right to be in a pissy mood and expect the rest of the world to act accordingly. Just because I may be having a crappy day does not mean that you have to take my bad attitude and adjust to it. we should not tiptoe through the tulips because other people are “in a bad mood”. Perhaps when we’re in a bad mood we should just not lash out at other people. I think that might be nice.
My friend Tyler Gorsline left me a pizza bagel on my desk. It made me feel appreciated. high five Gorsy.
